State Visit of the President of the Republic of Seychelles in Mauritius
The President of Seychelles, H.E. Danny Antoine Rollen Faure, is currently on an official visit to Mauritius from 26th to 28th October 2017.
During this state visit, H.E. Danny Antoine Rollen Faure will pay a courtesy call on H.E. Mrs Ameena Gurib-Fakim, President of the Republic of Mauritius. He will also have a tête-à-tête with Honourable Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Prime Minister. These courtesy calls will be followed by a working session and the signing of Memoranda of Understanding. Visits to cultural sites, namely Le Morne Cultural Landscape and the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Le Morne as well as the Aapravasi Ghat World Heritage Site in Port Louis are part of his programme.
Government will leverage this official visit to strengthen economic and diplomatic ties and explore ways to consolidate our longstanding relations with the Republic of Seychelles. On the other hand, visits to selected businesses and enterprises will be effected.
The Presidential visit was preceded by the meeting of the 12th session of the Seychelles-Mauritius Commission on Bilateral Cooperation where a new roadmap of cooperation has been elaborated for next two years.
