The Beijing Luxury Property Showcase 2016, ideal platform for promoting Mauritius

The Beijing Luxury Property Showcase (LPS) event, which opened its doors on 22 April 2016, saw the participation of more than 27 countries with more than 130 exhibitors showcasing luxury properties in various countries, while advertising the possibilities related to work and live as well as educational facilities available in respective markets, to Chinese who are seeking investments in realty across borders.

Mauritius signs an Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (IPPA) and a General Economic Collaboration Agreement with Côte d’Ivoire

The Honourable Xavier-Luc Duval, G.C.S.K, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism and External Communications was invited as Guest of Honour by Mr. Jean Louis Billon, Minister of Commerce of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire to the 2016 edition of the Economic Forum organised by the Confédération Générale des Entreprises de Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), on 21st and 22nd April. 

Bank of China (BOC) obtains its Banking License from the Bank of Mauritius

On March 18, 2016, the Bank of Mauritius issued a banking license to the Bank of China, making the latter the first Chinese bank licensed to conduct banking operations in Mauritius.

Located in the "Golden Triangle" connecting Asia, Africa and Australia, Mauritius is the international logistics and financial center of Africa and the Indian Ocean region. It offers a well-regulated platform for the promotion of trade and investment between Asia and Africa.
