Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-Moon`s remarks on Mauritius in his keynote address at the 23rd International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) Congress 2016

"We will continue to look to the experience of Mauritius. We will learn from your approaches to integrate the economic, environmental and social dimensions of development. And we will support you every step of the way".

The country has also been a leader in raising the unique perspectives and contributions of small island developing States in advancing sustainable development.

The Right Honourable Prime Minister, Sir Aneerood Jugnauth, emphasises that Mauritius is now an efficient, fair and modern economy at the ICCA 2016 Congress

The Prime Minister highlighted that Mauritius has developed into a hub for international business transactions and trade. In economic terms, Mauritius is among the top-performing African countries, with particular strengths in the areas of financial services, information technology, health, education, textiles and tourism. The business environment and network of investment treaties and double taxation agreements also make Mauritius a jurisdiction of choice from which to do international business.

Leading Kenyan entrepreneur, industrialist and philanthropist, Dr. Kirubi, explores new business opportunities in Mauritius

On the joint invitation of the Honourable Xavier-Luc Duval, G.C.S.K, F.C.A, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism and External Communications and the Board of Investment, Dr. Christopher John Kirubi, Chairman of Centum Investment Company Limited is on a prospective visit to Mauritius from 4th to 5th May 2016.

The objective of this visit is to determine avenues of collaboration in Eastern Africa and more specifically in Kenya during meetings with institutions and key industry leaders.

Digital Economy Workshop, 6th May 2016
