The 2016 Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk International Expo
The 2016 Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk International Expo will be held from 27 to 30 October 2016 in Guangdong, China.
The event is organized in collaboration with various stakeholders, namely the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the China Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, the China Tourism Association, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Hong Kong Tourism Board, and the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, amongst others.
This initiative which is led by the Government of Guangdong Province aims at enhancing cooperation and investment between Guangdong and countries along the Maritime Silk Road in order to implement the national development strategy of the “Belt and Road” Initiative.
The event is expected to attract a large number of overseas exhibitors, professional buyers and business communities. Alongside the exhibition, a series of B2B meetings and theme forums will be organized with industrial leaders, field experts and government officials.
To better position Mauritius as a hub for trade, investment & tourism, Enterprise Mauritius is leading a delegation of public and private sector operators and will set up a National Pavilion in the exhibition area to showcase Mauritius.
Several institutional partners, including the Board of Investment will support this initiative.
BOI will be allocated a booth in the Pavilion to further promote Mauritius as an investment destination and present business opportunities available in various sectors of the Mauritian economy.
