MAURITIUS INTERNATIONAL OUTSOURCING FORUM
“Building Bridges for International Partnerships”
The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology in collaboration with
the Board of Investment, the Information and Communication Technology
Authority, National Computer Board and Enterprise Mauritius, is pleased to
announce the hosting of an International Outsourcing Forum in Mauritius on the 2nd
and 3rd October 2009 at Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa.
This event, the first of its kind ever to be organized in Mauritius, aims at
connecting local operators with the world’s leading outsourcing organisations
and position the country as the next emerging off-shoring and outsourcing
destination.
The forum will be two-pronged, with a series of in-depth knowledge sharing
conferences delivered by independent industry specialist and one-to-one
meetings bringing together potential suppliers and buyers of outsourcing
services. A number of case studies, shared by existing Mauritius-based
operators, will also be presented, identifying avenues for the successful
positioning of Mauritius as a competitive, forward-looking and knowledge-based
outsourcing destination.
Some 35 international companies, amongst the world’s leading global operators
looking at new destinations to set up and outsource new business are expected
to participate. They are representatives of major business process outsourcing
arenas, namely:

Finance and Accounting

Human Resources

Hospitality
-
IT (Application/ Software development, Network/IT infrastructure, Data
Warehousing)

Call centre services
-
Telecom
Only one representative per company will be allowed. One-to-one buyer-supplier
matching sessions will be organised on a pre-appointment basis.
Participation fee: Rs 20,000/- per representative
IT/BPO companies based in Mauritius and interested to participate are required
to register by 12th August 2009 at latest on:

In view of limited seats, a selection panel comprising representatives of the
Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, Enterprise Mauritius,
National Computer Board, ICTA and Board of Investment will screen all
applications based on set criteria prior to final registration. The criteria
considered for selection are underlined in the request for participation form.
